Warm welcome, amazing styling, great bed, spacious bathroom and nice sitting corner. Pool and view are amazing. Scooter rental at accomodation. In between nature and no tourist vibe.

Beautiful place in the middle of nature with only few rooms and an amazing view. Clean and spacious rooms with everything you need. Great staff, attentive room service and a delicious breakfast.

The entire property, the welcoming team (Zam) and Puteh :) S'ekar Pinang brought us the delightful memory of kampung living yet in a chic era with it's cosy interior and extensive amount of impressive art installations. Loved the sound of birds chirping in the morning, the breakfast spread, and of course the greens. Would love to come back and stay at Rumah Penghulu soon!

Everything is high quality. You need a car or a moped (rentable there) but beautifully located in the country about 10 mins from seaside town and 15 from the airport. The hotel is modern and spacious and in separate suites. Generously sized and interesting art adorns the walls. The staff are a delight and nothing was too much trouble especially with regards to visiting places. A superb outdoor pool, barely used by other guests, is available till 11pm. The host is friendly and passionate about most things but especially the breakfasts which change every day but there is always a choice of Western or Malaysian dishes. Could have stayed here longer.

Beautiful rooms and a warm overall feeling. The carerully chosen artwork and decor in the room and mutual spaces gave personality to the hotel that is not easy to find. The pool area is also beautiful with a unique salt water pool and a view of the lush surrounding area. The service you get from the staff is extremely personal. I would highly recommend this for couples wanting a getaway that feels private!

The pool is amazing. Wan, the hotel manager, is so helpful and provides tips on what to do and where to go. Super comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast.

it felt like a big family running the place, with so much warmth, openness, local authenticity and the green surrounding. hats off to the women who could do everything and the management was very accommodative. we were there for 3 full days during off peak season and really had a great quiet time. just pack & go! thank you jamal & team.

Location in the middle of the jungle. Very calm, a bit scary sometimes but good for those who look for adventures.
