Smallish, peaceful, family-run resort. Nice little bungalow-style cottages with plenty of space for two. Conveniently located around 10 minutes walk from Alona Beach with wide restaurant scene. Beautiful garden and pool were well kept and staff was friendly. Hotel services like laundry and excursion booking was available.

Yes, it is quite nice little hotel with ca 6 bungalows/12 rooms, some 15 minutes walk from the center. Well maintained, clean. But that's pretty much it. A bit over rated. We had higher expectations. If you want an impersonal hideaway from people, fine. If you expect to meet with some people and experience some socializing, it's not for you. We selected this hotel to spend Christmas Eve there but it didn't have any vibes.

Breakfast - WONDERFUL. I typically skip breakfast when traveling, but since it was included, I decided to give it a try. The hotel has a restaurant with a diverse menu, and the quality was impressive. The coffee was unlimited (I particularly enjoyed the hot latte!), and the server, Herbert, welcomed us with a smile and humor. The hotel owner is from Germany, so they offer a German breakfast in addition to American, Filipino, and other options. During our five-night stay, we tried nearly everything on the menu, and the German Farmer's Breakfast was our favorite. We ended up ordering it every day! Staff - All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Gerald & Herbert, and owner Stefen(a.k.a. Vin Diesel)! Hotel Atmosphere - The hotel is beautifully designed, quiet, and truly unique. It feels like you’re in a different world!

The breakfast was truly delicious and filling. A lot of variety to choose from. The yogurt served together with the fruits were truly a fine touch and unexpected.

Beautiful pool and surrounding garden. Very peaceful and relaxing. The staff are so friendly and attentive. An exceptional breakfast which we looked forward to every morning.

The staff at Alona Royal Palm resort, especially Herbert and Stacy, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Kudos to them for their excellent service and especially for recommending Oceanica and Bohol Beach Club on Dumaluan beach, in my opinion the nicest beach in Panglao. The breakfast was fantastic and like everything else on the menu very tasty, well prepared and served in a timely manner. The pool was good sized and super clean, although a little warm. The grounds were immaculate and beautiful. The three dogs: Tequila, Sunrise, and Whiskey were cute and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
