My sister and I stayed at Mr Kahawa for few nights. The reception was warm, the staff was welcoming and helped our luggage to the room. The room was clean and seemed quite new! The shower was good and it was quiet during the night. Besides the hotel, the swimming pool was clean and relaxing. We also enjoyed breakfast and lunch here for some days - which was well priced for the fresh food. Bonus was the Kite Centre right there too, with friendly staff and good equipment! 10/10 we would stay here again.

Great property with a very nice beach-facing restaurant. Great room staying in the seaview «lofts» which are more or less suites with perfect views and outdoor shower/tub, couch, chairs, well-filled mini-bar. A true luxury experience. Monkeys live on the premises, nice large pool, and close to anything that Paje offers.

The food was definitely an experience for me. It was just very different from the food at home (obviously) but delicious nonetheless. Location is amazing, all activities were close by. There are other restaurants and accommodations right on the beach so I could walk to other places to eat or just explore. I felt very safe in my room. Being a solo black female traveller, safety is always a concern for me but I never felt otherwise which I appreciated. Staff is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !!!!! The staff make the entire environment. I had an issue with my water in the middle of the night and it was attended to within minutes! The staff is absolutely heaven sent ❤️

Mr. Kawala is a very sweet and charming place to stay when visiting Paje. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and always eager to help. We especially loved the pool area, which was perfect for relaxing, and the location was ideal - close to everything and just a few steps from the beach. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Mr Kahawa was in the best location on Paje beach, with a lovely pool for when the tide is out, and excellent restaurant/beach bar. The best food I've had in Zanzibar so far. You can watch the monkeys play in the huge tree if you're lucky, and great view of the kite surfers. Would highly recommend staying here.
