Very friendly staff, clean and big bungalows, restaurant has quite nice food, we ate passion fruit bowls almost every day. Absolutely loved the pool and the area around of the pool, so cosy, quite, green and beautiful, we enjoyed a lot spending some quite and relaxing time there. What we don’t like is breakfast, the same breakfast every day during 1 week, with not very much to choose. Also there are so many seaweeds in front of the hotel, you literally can’t swim. Maybe that’s because of the fact that some locals have seaweed farms in front of the hotel. Also during low tide water just goes so far away, it gets very muddy and the horizon not very beautiful, when water comes back during high tide it is so hot, sometimes it was impossible for me to enjoy in the water. So if you want to experience some nice, white sandy beach, with turquoise clean water and etc. i don’t think that Paje beach and this territory in front of the hotel is a good choice.

Our stay at Ananda Beach Hotel was absolutely incredible! The location is perfect, offering easy access to everything we needed, and the room itself was simply amazing—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Breakfast was out of this world, not only because of the delicious variety of food but also because we got to enjoy it with a breathtaking ocean view. It was the perfect way to start each day! The staff truly made our experience even better—they were so friendly, helpful, and always went the extra mile. One of the best parts was their flexibility; since they had availability, they allowed us a late check-out, which was a huge help. They also let us store our luggage at the front desk until our midnight flight, making our departure stress-free. This place is truly a paradise, and I can’t recommend it enough. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is right on the beach, with a beautiful outdoor dining area and plenty of sun loungers. Super fresh and a great breakfast buffet with everything you could want. Perfect for longer stays friendly and professional staff, no power outages, and a clean, deep pool that’s filtered and cleaned every evening. Cozy lighting in the evenings adds to the vibe. Plus, the location is fantastic! Rooms were cleaned 2-3 times a day, sand was swept away, and beds were always freshly made. Drinking water, coffee, and tea were restocked daily. There’s a safe, a kettle, lots of storage, air conditioning, and mosquito nets. The bathroom is spacious with strong water pressure and always hot water. Plus, a hairdryer, soap, and shampoo. Tons of sun loungers by the pool and outdoor showers to rinse off or cool down. The garden is absolutely magical. The only downside is that the WiFi is slow inside the rooms, but the speed is great in the pool area and restaurant. Loved every moment of our stay felt like paradise!

The Junior Suite with balcony has a private entrance which means you can lie on your balcony and watch the beach below to relax in private. The view is stunning (if you ignore the fishermen’s plot next door - easy to do when the water is so blue!). The location is excellent - highly recommend Changa next door for food and cocktails. Down the beach there are loads of other bars and restaurants to choose from. A very well equipped gym can be found approx. 8 minute walk away at Muscle Beach Zanzibar ($10 USD per visit). The food at Ananda is really good - think smoothie bowls, fresh coconuts, protein rice bowls (octopus, calamari, tuna, chicken), a wide breakfast selection, and lovely baked goods. Plus the normal hamburgers etc. I stayed 5 days and never had a bad meal. The staff are lovely too. My flight was at 21.35 so they gave me a late check out of 4pm for free which was so helpful.

We had the best stay at Ananda Beach Hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were incredibly helpful and the breakfast was good. Location is amazing and so many other restaurants nearby.

Super nice and cozy place. The kitchen is great and staff super friendly. I will defenitely come back here. The WIFI was good for remote working. Aircon worked well and there was a fridge to keep your water cool.
