The location is quiet, beautiful and just a short walk to the falls, it is a little out of town but very relaxing. The river flows at the bottom of the hill where the accommodation is located. It is great for families - has a pool - small one for little swimmers and a larger pool for the “big” swimmers. Michael and his team are wonderful hosts, I have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

Amazing service from Michael. Lots of info, assisted with everything we needed. While a unique style, we had a very comfortable, clean room with a great view of Haruru Falls. Kayak and pool were excellent, and Michael provided us with a pickup service at the end of our walk to Waitangi. Short walk to call brewery/pizza place for dinner. Noting that the room we had was dated but cosy and completely adequate for our needs. This place wont be for everyone but was a lovely surprise for us with excellent service.

Michael was very friendly in receiving us and we were offered free kayaking which unfortunately we didn't have time to experience it. The place has a beautiful view and stunning view of the waterfalls. We had a delicious dinner using the BBQ onsite. The location was near to the supermarket. We enjoyed our stay alot.

The owners were amazing.l Michael and Cam always went the extra mile to ensure our stay was the best experience. Thank you for an awesome 6 days. Your manaakitangi was so appreciated. Thank you also for looking after our waka kaihoe as they existed and reloaded the many waka at Haruru Falls. See you 2026.!!
