The location is excellent, very quiet and rural. Room is spacious and comfortable. The restaurant and pub has an excellent menu with a good choice of beer and wine. All staff are very attentive but I’d like to single out Oli for his service in the bar and restaurant, and for going the extra mile with the fire alarm issues after hours.

Clean, cosy room with everything we needed. Food at the pub is exceptional and the staff go above and beyond. We always feel so welcomed and we will keep coming back. Location is great for heading into Cotswolds villages and also close to Oxford and Bicester

The old architecture, preserving the past, very large room above restaurant/ pub, very quiet and comfortable though, cute decor, large bathroom, outstanding breakfast and lunch, free carpark behind hotel in courtyard and in the street, accommodating staff at breakfast and lunch in terms of meal modifications and nice-smelling Christmas tree in front room to entry room to breakfast area, efficient young man serving at lunchtime.

Our room was very spacious & well equipped. The choice for breakfast each morning was excellent & all food is cooked to order so very fresh. The dinner menu was superb & over the course of our stay we tried most choices and all were fabulous. The staff were great and most helpful - a special mention to Ruby who is a credit to the establishment We were aware that the building is old and that there were narrow stairs up to the room but this was not a problem (staff more than happy to assist with suitcases) - its all part of the character of the establishment The Bear & Ragged Staff is in a lovely village outside of Oxford and although we didn't have a car it's only a short walk to the bus stop and the service is very regular We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return again in 2025!
