*the location was perfect! the white sandy beach and the crystal blue sea along with the view of Athos mountains were idyllic! *the resort had everything! the facilities were all excellent! the bed was like sleeping on clouds! the decoration was very minimal and chic! all the people of the staff were always so smiling and helpful , they made you think you are at home! the lady at the spa had magic hands! *the cuisine was exquisite! all the dishes we tried were made with fresh ingredients, everything was handmade (ohh that praline!) , the combinations were very good! really there are no words to describe the experience we had at avaton! And not to forget the overall tranquility of our experience, which is exactly what we needed!

This resort is one of the very few that fit our criteria as a vacation immediately after our wedding. We stayed for 8 nights at a Junior Suite with a private pool. We loved (overwhelmingly positive) 1. WiFi was great - they use Ubiquity APs (geek) so the speed in the room was enough to watch anything in 4K quality (on the phone, laptop, tablet, etc.). WiFi on the beach was fine, but not great, depending on how many people were using it. 2. Beds are comfortable, pillows great, you can tell there's a lot of thinking behind how this resort should be built and the experience behind it. 3. Friendly staff - everyone there was super helpful and great overall (apart from small exceptions which I will describe later). The waiters are all great, some awesome. 4. Dinner - we had dinner at the venue every other night (ish). We enjoyed the experience of the Or.Os Restaurant, which is a Monastic Fine Dining Experience you have to reserve in advance for. The Chef and all kitchen staff are AMAZING and absolutely everything is cooked with passion and WAY different than anything else you can find in any taverna or restaurant nearby. Food was absolutely 10/10. We enjoyed (positive experience) 5. Beach was nice, water great, sand clean, showers clean and nice, fresh towels directly from the staff. Beach staff sometimes slow and unresponsive, we didn’t really see them around much and only 1 person can take orders so you have to find the right person to order something. We didn’t actively look around but it took us an average of 2 hours from when we wanted something to seeing and getting the attention of the person to getting the drinks. Once ordered, drinks arrived in a reasonable time. 6. Breakfast - even though it was better than average, it's the same every day, but plenty to choose from as a variety. You do get bored of it, however. 7. Air Conditioning was great and did cool properly and fast.
