The staff were very friendly from the moment we arrived. we were shown to our room and first impressions were that it was a good size and the views from the window were great. we booked in downstairs for food at teatime and food was excellent and well presented . Great selection of drinks and the wine on offer was very good. overall we had a great stop with our 2 kids and would definitely come back. bed was very comfy and the breakfast on the morning was outstanding. ideal location for kielder forest as well.

We stayed here on the second night of our Northumberland 250 road trip which was a perfect place to stay on the route. We arrived and checked in and were greeted by really friendly staff who directed us to our room. We had our dog with us and when we brought him in he was given a doggy gift bag with a little towel, ball, poo bags and treats - he absolutely loved it! We were allowed to bring him in to the dining area to eat with us and he was given another bag of treats by the waitress which was so kind. Both the evening meal and breakfast were exceptional. At breakfast our dog was given some sausage which he devoured and was made a fuss off which he thoroughly enjoyed. The gentleman at breakfast told us of a walk we could do before we went on our way which was just at the side of the hotel and went through the woods to a stream and pond which was beautiful. We couldn't recommend Redesdale Arms enough and will certainly stay here again when we are next exploring this beautiful part of the country.

Perfect location. This is a family run hotel and it shows in the quality of care in all areas. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely comfortable and a good size with excellent facilities, including a Nespresso coffee maker! Breakfast was great and we ate every evening at the hotel as the food was such good quality with very fair prices, and with a log burner to give that cosy feeling.
