The room was wide. There was an onsen within the building so we didn't really use the room toilet/shower. There was a communal refrigerator.

Location and breakfast! Room is perfect for us - 2 pax, and we booked the traditional tatami room. It’s spacious and clean. Definitely recommended.

The place is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The breakfast room is very pretty, has nice view and the breakfast itself is excellent, with a lot of variety. Location is very good, easy to find and walking distance to Otaru station.

Great location, not at Main Street, very local experience. Breakfast included and tasty. Very friendly staff. Self check in instructions are very clear and easy to understand.

The owner is kind and lovely. The accommodation has a hot spring that is beyond excellent. The accommodation is easy to find and not difficult to travel to.

Plum House is the perfect place to stay. The place is simply beautiful, the Japanese room is so comfortable and pleasant, with all the amenities. The shower was amazing, and the public bath was wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is simple and great and the free parking is right by the door. The location is fantastic - 5 minutes walk from the canal, and yet very quiet.

I wasn't sure what to expect as it was my first time in Japan & at a japanese inn. But it was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, and tasty. I didn't get a chance to use the public bath but will be sure to come back in the cooler months to experience. The location is a short (15mins) walk from the train station but you can also take a taxi which was very reasonable. The canal and a variety of restaurants are within ready waking distance. The staff at the inn were friendly and so helpful. I highly recommend staying at the Plumhouse while you are in Otaru! Thank you!

We had a lovely stay, the hotel is in a convenient but quiet place with a couple of lovely tiny restaurants in the nearby streets. It's a beautiful, peaceful place with a gorgeous garden. I would definitely recommend staying here if it is available.

Everything was great! Easy check-in & out. Host explained everything clearly when I got there. The room was in near mint condition & very spacious for the price. His & hers sento each night was relaxing! EVERYTHING was super clean. They let me store my rental e-bike overnight. The food & the space for breakfast we're lovely. 10/10!
