This was our second stay at Scandic Vulkan and we left as happy with the hotel as the first time. The room was nothing special but spacious enough and we had no complaints. We like the location of the hotel - it's only about 15 minutes on foot from the center and you can find nice restaurants walking distance from the hotel. The breakfast was really good and we were especially happy that we could buy a packed lunch and fill our thermoses with coffee - we did that every day and enjoyed it in beautiful weather at Holmenkollen watching biathlon.

The hotel is actually in a really great location once you get to know Oslo. There are beautiful sites around it, the food hall nearby is great (and the Hrimnir Ramen next door has really good chasu!) and across the river is a lively neighbourhood (plus streets with picturesque houses and the oldest church in Oslo nearby). The bedroom had a nice view, the bathroom was spaceous, the staff very friendly.
