The breakfast experience was faultless. The evening dining was absolutely superb, I stayed four nights and the specials in particular changed each day. The views are breathtaking. Also it was well situated as a starting point for sight-seeing around the island.

Fabulous location. Excellent staff, very attentive. Beautiful clean room. Food was excellent and being Scottish I loved that they offered “tatties” rather than potatoes. Parking is good and there is a beautiful Loch in the doorstep. I would recommend.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great location on Loch Harray, quiet and away from busier areas. The room and common areas were all kept clean and tidy.

Beautiful location, very nice, homely common areas. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable with great views. Food was excellent - local produce, simple but delicious and reasonably priced. Staff were all friendly and accommodating.

Fantastic location on the Loch. Good facilities. A lovely dining room with a view of the loch, separate bar and a residents lounge all comfortable. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The garden room was large and had patio doors with a view of fields and the Loch. The food was very good with lots of choice and a specials menu which changed during our 3 nights.

We loved everything about our stay at Merkister! The location was beautiful. Our room was very comfortable. The best thing about our stay was the staff. Amanda’s customer service was amazing! Would absolutely stay there again.
