Opuwo is the perfect overnight stay for Kaoko-Otavi, Epupa Falls and Swartbooisdrift. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We stayed 2 nights at Opuwa lodge. The lodge is located on top of a hill with great views and a pool. We enjoyed our stay and visited a few beautiful Himba's villages and the center of Opuwa every day.. However we felt the hotel is lacking some atmosphere/personality. We would still recommend to stay here.

The location was fantastic. It was a gated lodge situated on top of a hill with beautiful serene views across the countryside. It was very clean and comfortable and the food was delicious.

This was not planned but somehow we miscalculated the distance needed to travel between towns in Namibia. We were initially planned to stay at Madissa Camp but to go to Epupa the next day is almost like a full day drive with little time to enjoy Epupa. Hence we have to give up Madissa Camp and to stop over at Opuwo. The accommodation is ok, peaceful and quiet. The breakfast which we paid was normal and nothing special or fabulous in particular. The sunset view of Opuwo at Opuwo Country Lodge is worth the stopover. It is probably the best sunset view we have seen during our trip in Namibia.
