We spent 5 nights here. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is brought to your accommodation and has all the necessary food and drinks. We liked the rural aspect and its so quiet you get a good nights sleep.Chickens roam which adds to the atmosphere. Should you want to visit Amsterdam its only a 10k drive to Hoorn and then a 31 minute train journey to the centre. Would certainly like to return.

It is a place for people who want to rest from the city and enjoy the beautiful nature around. The chickens roaming the yard were really cute and added to our stay. The cottage was well stocked with essentials: coffee, tea, dishes, towels, hairdryer, small fridge, dish soap. Inside was also surprisingly a lot of space. An additional plus was a catalog with the most interesting points in the area and tips from the owners. It was very nice, and it was available in few languages. The cottage was very clean and warm. Each cottage has a small terrace where you can have breakfast. Breakfasts are brought to the cottages by the owners at the agreed time. Warm buns, eggs, and other good things. We could really eat our fill. Bikes are available for rent on-site, and you can take a ride to nearby towns along a beautiful path that runs along the lake. Only a street separates us from the lake. There is a place for a picnic or bonfire literally a minute from the cottages. Beautiful place and very nice owners! We highly recommend it!

Cottage was surrounded by chickens, hens and the owner’s dogs. I loved it! I could also watch the goats and they would watch me. Loved the surroundings.
