Lovely traditional residence, with a charming landscaped garden and nice view of the water and town as it’s set on the hillside. On a clear day, you can enjoy an amazing view of the garden from the upstairs balcony and the living room. Lots of space and bedrooms, which makes it great for larger groups, although it’s worth noting that while the property has two toilets, it only has one bath. Well-equipped kitchen. A 10-12minute walk to Onomichi station, which is convenient. The port town of Onomichi is very quaint and we really enjoyed our exploration of the area, especially Cat alley and Senkoji temple. We only stayed one night at this residence, and faced a few challenges with the house. Pretty sure they would have been resolved with time and familiarity, but I’ll list them below anyway.

Beautiful traditional japanese house located in the heart of Onomichi, loved every minuted we've stayed there. The house inside was very clean & modern and had everything you need in an accommodation, while still retaining the charm of an traditional house. Location is perfect with many restaurants, bars, shops nearby at the shopping arcade down below, 10 minutes by foot to the train station. Check-In was done via key code and communication with the owner was quick, friendly and helpful.

Beautiful house, spacious, clean, seems to cater well to the needs of both Japanese and foreign tenants. Nice to make the 15 mins climb up the hill and enjoy the views from Senkoji-park.
