We loved this place it has a slightly scruffy homely charm in a stunning setting right on the river and a short walk to the square and loads of restaurants. The family suites are very spacious and worked really well for us as were were using Ollantaytambo as a base, so it was nice to have a big fridge, sofas to chill on, with great views of river and the odd humming bird. It was also good to be able to use the kitchen to make hot drinks with unlimited free coca tea etc whenever we wanted. Renee who runs the place is so friendly and helpful. He is very knowledgeable with good English and happy to chat about anything! We organised a pick up from the airport with him via WhatsApp and a driving tour on the way back to Cusco to include the best views of mountains and beautiful countryside. The showers were the best we had in Peru which included some much fancier hotels and the breakfast was good too. The laid back approach may not suit everyone, the odd time there was no one on reception but Renee soon reappeared. This place is really a home from home but not for those who like a swish , corporate, predictable, soulless chain hotel!

A quiet and lovely hotel by the river with stunning views and an excellent breakfast (the papaya and mango salad was amazing), along with an omelet! Breakfast can be served earlier than 7:00 AM upon request. The hotel offers hot water in the shower and parking (advance reservation is recommended). This is a wonderful family-run hotel that I highly recommend.

Everything, we’re reasonably well travelled and this is our first 10 review. Rene is the perfect host. Great communication before our arrival including arranging a taxi from Cusco airport. He took plenty of time at check-in to provide ideas to make the most of stay including taking us on a day tour Sacred Valley. The lodge is nicely located, less than five minutes from the center. Our room was spacious and the breakfast more than enough to set you up for the day.

The hotel was clean, the beds really comfortable and the staff could not have been nicer! We were offered an amazing cooked to order breakfast daily (eggs, toast, fruit, cereal, yogurt, ham, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, coffee and tea) and anything we needed, we were helped with. The HOT!! water was so nice after a lot of physical activities. The location was about an 8 minute walk from the town center. This helped as a festival was taking place all weekend with bands and parades. Our location was super quiet. We did not use the outdoor garden area but it was inviting.

Rene was very helpful in organising train tickets for me and also sorting parking for my vehicle. He kindly waited up the night I got in very late. The property is a short walk from the main square which meant it was quiet - much appreciated as was in need of sleep.

Nice Lodge in quiet part of the small town. The owner, René, is very kind and helpfull. He is also a guide (and was ours) for the Sacret Valley and even Machu Picchu. I recommend this place.
