It is a lovely charming quirky property and if you get the right room/s the noise or smell of the trains when they stop on their journeys to Machu Picchu shouldn’t bother most people. The staff are very friendly and very helpful too. Lovely garden/s and no 18 is quiet with lovely views. And only 2soles (50p )tuk-tuk ride 5mins upto the charming main square - and 10 mins walk back down.

Lovely hotel and very helpful staff with very beautiful gardens. Perfect train location to go to Machu Picchu. It is very easy to walk to the town centre.

The location is the best thing. Being inside the train station I didn’t have problems and it was very convenient. The restaurant is nice as the breakfast and the place is very tranquil and quiet.

It was in a stunning location. The trains didn’t bother me but worth being away of- you can hear them often and at night! Bed was comfortable, super clean and the breakfast was amazing. Plus the food in restaurant was all fresh and local and pretty reasonable.

The hotel is beautiful with a beautiful garden, the rooms are big and clean. Really convenient if you are taking the train: hopping off the train.

The location is stunning. The views of the mountains right out your windows. The Inca Rail is right out the door. Breakfast was good, fresh and plentiful. They even made something extra for my wife with dietary needs.

Hot Water was luxurious!!!! Rooms were spacious, beauifully designed and decorated, clean and comfortable with access to balconies onlooking the intimate garden surrounds. It was a drramt little oasis from the busy town centre and adjoining train station. Would stay here again!

The beauty of this place is amazing! Ollantaytambo really is worth a visit, and El Albergue is the place to stay! Helen is extremely helpful and always cheerful - just like everybody else from staff. They assisted us with questions concerning our Machu Picchu trip and arranged an excursion to the salt mines on short notice. The restaurant can also be highly recommended.

The hotel is literally right in the train station, so if you are catching an early morning train to Machu Picchu, it is very easy and convenient.
