The location is close to everything.. station only about 5 minutes walk. The the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was excellent, the variety and quality was outstanding, the best I have experienced in a guesthouse or hotel. Also the rooftop lounge …a great place to relax. Look forward to going back.

Absolutely lovely team and fabulous breakfast. I felt very welcome from the first minute. Great guests and employees open for a chat in the reception / kitchen area. Every one was super nice and helpful regarding advises of restaurants, excursions, boat trips etc. Free Tee and cookies all day long.

Wonderful self-serve breakfasts, very friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere. GuestMar is the perfect location for a stay in Olhao. Joao has a very good eye for decor and the place has lots of interesting detail.

I cannot express in words how amazing our stay was. From the moment we arrived and were welcomed at the front door to the second we left when the owner waved us off, it was exceptional. We loved our chats and the laughs in the communal kitchen. We were told on arrival to treat Guest Mar as our home and that is exactly what it felt like. Guest Mar is a family and we look forward to returning.

The staff are probably the most helpful staff I have ever had and I am in my late sixties. The breakfast is exceptional and plentiful. The room was excellent and the location is just a five minute walk from the 'front'.

Lovely staff and good breakfast but I found my room very small. I appreciate it was listed as a small double, but I needed to stand on the bed to open and close the shutters on one of the windows at night, and there was only a small chair and some coat hangers to put my clothes and belongings on. I had the room to myself so I’m not sure how two people would manage. Sadly the balcony was too small to sit on but I did enjoy the roof terrace.
