Hotel Overview

Castello Dal Pozzo is a historic property consisting of 3 buildings near the shores of Lake Maggiore. It offers an outdoor pool with sun terrace, free parking and luxurious rooms featuring antique décor combined with modern comforts.
Rooms and suites can either be in the Palazzo building, in the restored stable or in the original castle, which is 250 metres from reception. They feature original furnishings, decorative walls, and spacious marble bathrooms. They include free Wi-Fi, CD/DVD players and LCD TVs.
Le Fief restaurant offers both regional and Italian specialities. An American-style breakfast is available in the main building.
Castello Dal Pozzo, once a nobleman's residence, is surrounded by parkland and green lawns. It is made up of the original castle, restored stables and an 18th-century building.

The bathrooms, crafted in fine marble, boast spacious showers and bathtubs, ensuring a luxurious and relaxing experience.

Our Junior Suites, with surfaces ranging from 32 to 40 m², embody the elegance of the 19th-century residential buildings of Lake Maggiore, enriched with all modern comforts. Spacious and bright, they boast parquet floors or hypoallergenic carpeting. The living area is furnished with sofas and armchairs, a coffee table and a desk, perfect for moments of relaxation or work. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen television with streaming functions, a kettle and a coffee machine to ensure maximum comfort. The marble bathrooms offer a large shower and a separate bathtub, creating an oasis of luxury and well-being. Some suites have a third bed and there is the possibility of having two communicating Junior Suites, ideal for families. The Junior Suites can be assigned, depending on availability, in the Palazzo or the Scuderie, offering in any case an unforgettable stay at Castello Dal Pozzo.

The Suites of Castello Dal Pozzo, with a surface area from 42 to 45 square meters, are furnished with particular care and attention to detail, offering enchanting views of the Park and the Castle. These luxurious suites are equipped with the most modern comforts. Each suite has a large double bed, parquet floors and a cozy separate living room, furnished with a sofa, armchairs, coffee table, desk, 50"" flat-screen television, coffee machine and paintings from the family collection. They also all have a third bed. The elegant marble bathrooms offer a large shower and a bathtub, guaranteeing an experience of luxury and well-being. The Suites can be assigned, depending on availability, in the Palazzo or the Scuderie, ensuring in any case an unforgettable stay at Castello Dal Pozzo.

Known as the Virginia Suite, this spacious and comfortable suite has a private terrace overlooking the castle and its grounds. It is set in a separate building on the castle's grounds, 250 metres from the main building, and has antique Tudor-style furnishings. Sweet and savoury snacks are available from the minibar and you have a work desk. Floors are in wood or carpet and the bed sheets are pure cotton. The marble bathroom includes bathrobes and toiletries. Not only virginia suite, does not have a private terrace

Our Executive Suites, with a surface area of over 60 square meters, bear the names of their illustrious owners, Alberto Visconti and Claudio Dal Pozzo. These luxurious suites consist of a separate living area with armchairs and sofas, a large desk work, dining table and a bedroom with a king-size mattress, 50"" television and coffee machine. The marble bathrooms offer a large tub and a walk-in shower, ensuring moments of pure relaxation. Comfort is further ensured by a rich supply of accessories and courtesy sets. Alberto, who gives his name to the suite at Palazzo, Marchese Visconti d’Aragona, born around 1813, was the last of his lineage. His active participation in the Carbonari uprisings cost him a death sentence, and the properties thus passed to his sister Virginia, wife of Bonifazio Dal Pozzo d'Annone, integrating into the Dal Pozzo family. Claudio Dal Pozzo d'Annone, was particularly known for his expertise in breeding Cocker Spaniels. The Stables were his favorite place inside the property, where he raised and cared for his dogs. Over the years, Claudio bred more than 40 Cocker Spaniels, winning numerous awards throughout Italy. The rooms are located in the Palazzo and the Scuderie, offering in any case an unforgettable stay at Castello Dal Pozzo.

Castello dal Pozzo is a perfect place to stay, relax, enjoy and explore. As a third time guest at the Castello, the ongoing development of the hotel and the standards of the guest meeting - is great.

I think we tried all of the dining options: Dan Garden Lounge, Le Fief, Folia (the poolside lounge), and of course breakfast. They're all delightful -- indoor and outdoor seating, with large umbrellas that protect diners from rain as well as sun. Breakfast included omelettes and all sorts of coffees to order, fresh fruit and pastry, cold meats, eggs/sausage/bacon, juices, sparkling wine -- what you would expect from a better hotel. Dinner at Le Fief was exceptionally good -- innovative, with fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and obvious thought behind each dish. Our waiter Mauro took special care in finding wines to go with our meal. Throughout the weekend, staff struck a perfect chord: always there when we needed something, but otherwise leaving us in peace to explore the gorgeous grounds and ponder the layers of historical detail inside and outside of the castello.
