Villa Sofija was a short-notice replacement villa for an earlier booking that was cancelled through the previously booked villa's management error, so we had little time to research the Villa Sofija as a replacement, but we did note its excellent location when making our quick booking. The villa was well presented and furnished in good condition. There was a large, shared, balcony overlooking Lake Ohrid which provided a beautiful panorama over the lake. There were several restaurants located within 100 meters, and access to the boardwalk was only a little further away - overall a very good location in Ohrid. We recommend you park your car (free-of-charge) at the upper gate to the old town and walk to your accommodation - the old town streets were definitely not build with cars in mind and car parking can be problematic. Note that the old town is built on the side of a hill and that the old streets are cobbled - wheeling large cases down and uphill can be an interesting challenge!

Excellent location in Ohrid's old town, within walking distance from all points of interest. I got a room in the upper floor - the balcony had an amazing view over the lake Orhid and the Saint Sofija church. The owner was always friendly and available to help. The room was cosy and clean. Confortable beds. Perfect for a stay in the old town.

Very clean and well-resourced room. Everything was updated and new. Beautiful views over the church St. Sofia, the Old Town and the Ohrid Lake. We met with tetka Danche, she was so polite, kind and helpful. Highly recommend!
