We were warmly welcomed by our two hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The homemade jams and rhubarb compote which accompanied Breakfast were a nice touch and very tasty. The added personal touches really made our stay. For example, our hosts recommended a more scenic drive back to Wellington and a place to eat in nearby Ohakune.

We loved our stay at Bernie and Marie's home. They both made us feel warm and welcome with their kindness and even as hosts went the extra mile for all of their guests, we were there for one night and the only thing we regret is not staying for a longer duration. 10/10 outstanding service. Everything!! Especially the hosts they were awesome to talk to and really helpful when we had no transportation to and from the train. Will definitely be back soon!! The breakfast was wicked too and perfectly set out for us to enjoy each morning.
