The setting is fabulous and the public areas exceptional. The bedroom however is dire - no bathroom should be that small for the price. In fact it is all overpriced together with the wine in the restaurant with Good food but a menu so limited.

The staff makes this place very special. This was my 4th stay in 6 months. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate special needs, with an attentiveness that is rare. It feels like an family-run hotel. Thankfully, the restaurant menu is back up to its usual high quality, after a brief period of misguided “menu simplification”.

Location was beautiful. Staff was very friendly. Rooms comfortable. The breakfastlobby beautiful. Quiet environment in a little park across from mansion, awesome.

Friendly staff and very clean. Restaurant had communications issues - twice we were told it was open and it turned out not to be. The second time the kind staff managed to find us a table in the castle's temporary restaurant. So, better comms towards the clients for the hotel's services please. Breakfast was very good.

The staff was very accomodating with my late check inn. I arrived late at night. Sanne was very thoughtfull at the reception and managed to get me a late night snack. Everything was really nice: the hotel, the surroundings. Just one small thing: the bathtub could have been a bit bigger ;).
