“Good hotel, but smell of cigarettes in a non smoking room”

Everything was good, from the price to the people who work in this hotel…but even if my room was a non smoking room I could smell a strong small of cigarette.

Very good location, easy to get to all areas by walking. Breakfast given in a basket for the mornings, included fresh bananas. Very clean. Hotel staff were very pleasant and easy to communicate with in English as they had a translations device.

Breakfast was fine. Coffee made in the room with bread roll. Very close to the centre of town and the railway station. We used it to visit the Hakone region and staying here was much cheaper than staying further up the mountain. There also seemed to be more to do including shopping in Odawara that further up the mountain.

The hotel has an old fashioned style, copper keys, wooden furnitures…I like it! They keep it well-functioning and clean. The staff is very nice and helpful.
