Very central to Obidos, moments from the city wall. The internal decoration was great…spent an evening in the upstairs reading room just picking books of shelves and reading extracts!! Comfy bed.

Very enjoyable stay , great location, excellent evening meal in the restaurant, a few parking spots nearby if lucky or the huge town parking area 10 mins walk away , €6. per 24 hours . Highly recommended.

This is not just one more hotel. The interior decor of the hotel makes you feel like you are transported back in time into a library that contains everything you might want to read. Together with the big fireplace in the dining hall it just makes you feel cozy and calm while enjoying a very well cooked dinner. The staff and the owners received us so nicely and made us feel incredibly welcome.

Magic property, very unique with its 'book' setup. Location is top and breakfast was delicious. Also very friendly staff at the reception and service during our excellent dinner in hotel restaurant. One of best accommodations we stayed during our trip to Portugal.

The room was really spacious and the staff super kind! Amazing breakfast and beautiful and authentic building in the centre. You can park your car on a big parking 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We decided to stay one more night. We (and our 2 years old son) loved it!

The literary theme was amazing. The person at the front desk was very welcoming and went out of her way to help us. She was exceptional. The on site restaurant was very nice. Great dinner! The breakfast was a huge treat - lots of healthy options. I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit.

The service was super, but when you add the ambience and the exquisite range of food to be offer in the restaurant. This is most definitely at 10 every time
