Shan “Fantastic stay in a piece of living history. Special experience.”
Fantastic hotel, extremely professional and helpful staff. To put things into context, this is a fully working medieval castle dating back to 911 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To be able to visit it at all is a miracle, let alone staying in it. The entire castle is lovingly maintained and our room was classically decorated with beautiful furniture. It had fantastic views overlooking the Rhein. The castle also has a number of outdoor spaces which are accessible to guests of the hotel which offer more views over the valley. There are also a number of indoor lounge spaces where you can relax with a drink or a book, while antique weapons and art on display add to the ambience. Definitely worth staying to experience something special.

The hotel in general is stunning with an amazing view. If you dont have the water view it doesnt matter as everyday on my way to breakfast i walked past it and it was amaying. The bed was so comfortable and I loved even staying in, in my dressing gown and enjoying the mini fridge benifits! The staff were so lovely and made me and my partner feel special. Also after the housekeeping had tidied our room, i swear they would spray some stuff in the room as it smelt so nice when we walked in. I was actually sad when we left as we booked a second location for our holiday but i wish we just stayed here as the second location didnt even compare! I guess it is expensive but you pay for an amazing stay and I would spend the money all over again! Highly recommend and will be visiting again soon!
