Hotel Overview

The family-run Parkhotel Sonnenhof offers Alpine-style rooms, a well-equipped spa area and a daily breakfast buffet. It is located in Oberammergau, just 20 km from the Austrian border.
All rooms at the Parkhotel Sonnenhof have a private balcony, light wooden furniture, cable TV and a modern bathroom. Free WiFi is also provided.
Decorated in traditional Bavarian style, the Sonnenhof’s restaurant serves German and international food. On Thursdays and Fridays we will be happy to serve you in our restaurant Meat & More Cocktailbar in our Ludwig Residenz, which is about 200m from the hotel.
During summer months, meals and drinks can be enjoyed on the terrace.
The Sonnenhof offers a range of spa facilities, such as a bio sauna, steam room and an indoor pool.

Please note that the restaurant is closed for the following dates: From 04.11.2024 until 27.11.2024 From 16.03.2024 until 05.04.2025.
Also From January 6, 2025 Our restaurant is only open for you on Thursdays and Fridays during our breakfast times! On these days our guests are welcome in our LUDWIG RESIDENZ which is 200m away.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Bar is closed from 2025-04-05 until 2025-03-16

We absolutely loved our stay! Our room was not outdated plus there was a big balcony with stunning views. The breakfast was good. The little town itself is very beautiful and the hotel is near to the center so you can walk everywhere and the walks are very pretty. Kids can enjoy a little indoor pool, we were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves - great timing. I can imagine that it can be crowded when several families are using it at the same time. Parking is outside and the location is great for discovering Bavaria. The staff is also very helpful.
