The hosts were very welcoming without being intrusive. The rooms have recently been refurbished. Lots of wildlife in the vicinity and opportunities to get out and about.

Really enjoyed this pone-night stay - warm, friendly little hotel; nothing spectacular on the outside, but enter to find excellent hospitality, comfortable bedrooms (HD TVs even have Netflix, iPlayer etc) and - in the case of my room - a complete separate private bathroom. Excellent. And it's very handy for the shortest ferry crossing to Mull...

Staff were lovely but the hotel was over 100 miles from where we were. Booking.com gave us the wrong address which the hotel did confirm also, as there was another town with a similar name. Another time we had the same problem that the wrong address was given to that hotel by Booking.com.

The breakfast was cooked to order to accommodate dietary requirements, no easy task in a remote location where ingredients are not easily obtained. The room was thoughtfully and comfortably appointed with an excellent view, complete with an otter swimming in the bay. The owners were friendly and their local knowledge was invaluable.
