Great location, staff couldn't be more helpful / friendly, whether on the front desk or at breakfast. Cooked breakfast was GREAT. Lovely room, and it feels so much better not being in one of the major chains where you could be anywhere. Quiet too.

It's the only hotel in Oakham that lets you have a bath and not a shower. For that reason alone, I'd never stay anywhere else in town. Friendly, roomy, and only five minutes from the train station, I always stay here before I travel away in the morning. 🍄

Twin room with ensuite on ground floor was nicely and newly decorated and fine for our one night stay. Central heating was not working but staff had put in a small electric oil heater which heated the room well and we were told on arrival. Breakfast was good with self-service for cereals, toast etc. and could order personal selection for English breakfast. Staff generally helpful. We were able to park our car in the hotel car park, which is well hidden!
