Location is perfect, especially for a spooky getaway with the graveyard at your window! The hospitality in the evening upon arrival was amazing! Comfortable living area also. Beautiful countryside with historic buildings within your bubble.

“A cosy stay in a wonderful setting. Pride and Prejudice love optional!”

The host Victoria was wonderful. She was very helpful and knowledgeable telling us of options for an evening meal and where they were situated. She also directed us to the beautiful church. She thoughtfully lit the log fire in the sitting room for us in the evening and sitting there in the warmth with a book and some lamps lit was just wonderful. The breakfast she provided in the morning was well cooked and there were plenty of options. The room itself was comfortable, spacious and clean, with a well stocked selection of tea, coffee, water, milk, biscuits, and hot chocolate. In the evening the shutters were closed, making the room cosy and warm with the lamps on. Blankets and a duvet were provided in case you're cold or too hot and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom had toiletries provided and lovely towels. If you're looking for a place with history and character the rectory is a lovely place to stay in. If you're a fan of the Pride and Prejudice 1995 miniseries then there are photos and news clippings in an album in the sitting room which is a wonderful thing to have a look through!

“Peaceful, comfortable, kind welcome. All in all a blessing. Many thanks”

The location was great. Quiet country village. Being Jane Austen fans and fans of the BBC Pride and Prejudice this was a delight as it was the location of part of that production. We were not disappointed. The welcome was lovely, the room a charm and the breakfast hearty.

“Amazing country feel!”
