we were there for new years eve. The food was ok, the meat very tough but it was a fun night.

A really special place - it’s like stepping back in time with great service and old world charm. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and the bed was extremely comfortable. I highly recommend taking a look around the kitchen garden. The gardeners were delighted to show us everything they were growing for the restaurant. I highly recommend staying - and borrowing a jacket and tie for dinner.

The food is exceptional, the best I have had in SriLanka. The grounds are wonderfully maintained and the location perfect. The staff are very kind and helpful. It is an old club and the rooms are quite original and the club is not over restored

This is a beautiful example of style and luxury from a bygone era. It reminds me very much of Royal Naval Wardrooms and Service from the last century. Staff are extremely engaging, attentive and clearly well trained. The gardens are beautifully maintained and presented and the whole establishment offers a wonderful glimpse of the past beautifully blended with modern touches. Dressing for dinner in the main restaurant and bar still required!

The old colonial heritage is beautiful, and especially the location is very good. The staff is friendly and the garden is super well maintained and beautiful.
