Hidden away from the bustling town centre. A beautiful and tranquil space both outside and inside. Food was amazing - we had half board which included breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. We were also offered complimentary walks - tea plantation and bird watching

A very beautiful historic house! Rooms are well maintained and nicely decorated. The park and tea plantation are splendid.

The hotel is a converted tea planters bungalow that's been restored and extended with modern features. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and a special effort was made by the staff to personalise our whole experience including private a dinner in the garden with a real fire. The pool and jacuzzi area was very relaxing and had great views over the tea fields. Guided walks are available which my husband enjoyed. The bathroom was a good size with a good walk-in shower

As a regular traveller it is very rare to find an hotel where I can not think of a single fault!! By Sri Lanka standards the Stafford Bungalow is on the high side, but you absolutely get what you pay for.
