This place is totally fine for one night stop over stay. You have a big room with an en suite and the staff were very friendly and eager to please.

Shirin was extremely friendly and helpful, kindly picking us up from Nanu Oya train station and offering delicious milk tea upon our arrival. The house is cozy and charming, filled with historical character, and pleasantly scented with incense. While it's a historic property, you can’t expect the facilities to be brand-new, but everything was kept impeccably clean. The location is excellent, with two pizza places and a local restaurant right at the entrance of the lane, plus a Super K store for shopping needs. It's within walking distance to the lakeside and city center, and if you don't feel like walking, tuk-tuks are very affordable. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, with the hoppers being absolutely outstanding. I highly recommend staying at Shirin's place - it's definitely great value for money.

It was enjoyable stay. The house was built in an old traditional British style, which gave us a historical feel and the old interior was also lovely. The host and his family were very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was well-portioned and very delicious. Keells supermarket was close and convenient. Thank you so much!

Beautiful old house with an incredible garden. Wonderful, friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Would recommend in a heartbeat. A short stroll from the city center (you can walk through the beautiful Victoria Gardens).

Lovely host, gave us usefull advice for activities and has a great sense of Humor. He has great knowledge of the area. The breakfast was amazing, on our departure day we had to leave early and he prepared plenty of food in packages for the travel. the house was interesting. Even though it was rainy, we had a wonderfull time

Located in a historic building is convenient for exploring the town and surrounding area. The owner was very helpful, and the breakfast was satisfying. OK for a short stay.

Amazing owner very friendly guy , taking time to help and chat great setting and really the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka so far. Quiet location close to a nice supermarket and couple of eateries. The family room was very spacious.

The property was good and had a spectacular view. It's a vintage property with modern facilities. Had a wonderful conversation with the host on sports and politics. Glad to watch India Vs Pakistan cricket 🏏 match !!

Wonderful house built at the end of the 19th century and maintained in original style by the current owner Excellent Sri Lankan breakfast - included a large, perfectly ripe bowl of fresh mango Asela picked me up from the train station which saved me a potentially stressful ride in local transport He also efficiently organised a car to carry me on to Kandy The charge for my two nights' stay was exceptionally good value
