Staff was excellent. Although the hotel is an older once its architecture in the Balinese style is beautiful. It is located directly at the sea with its own and clean beach .

We stayed at the palace in a garden room. no view just overlooking trees. The room was huge. Definitly worth getting the all inclusive deal, anything from the menu and also the beverage menu. Make sure you ask for the al a carte menu for breakfast as the sunrise acai bowl and eggs benedict were fantasic, also 4 pieces of laundry are included per day, which they dont tell you. we didnt find out til 1/2 way through our stay. would definitely recommend a stay here. Also not far from the shops if you want to change money or have a massage etc. We rode the bikes there in 5/10 minutes.

Nusa Dua is a quiet area. The Ayodya Palace is at the front of the main resort, facing the beach. The gardens are beautiful and the pool uncrowded (unlike the “kid’s soup” in the main resort). The decorations/quality of the Palace are certainly an improvement on the main resort. Still, there is no denying this large resort is ageing and in need of a lot of refurbishment.. even in the Palace area our lift broke down twice in a one-week period. The lounge and surrounding outside table and chairs provided a very pleasant environment for breakfast and evening cocktails and canapés. Beach towels were readily available and the resort provides many areas to play and rest. The Palace was very clean and our rooms kept spotless. We could have four articles of clothing washed and ironed each day. I really appreciated the small rugs you could place on either side of the bed, so you didn’t have gritty feet getting into bed each night. We stayed and celebrated a 70th birthday and wedding anniversary. The extra attention we received via a bottle of wine, chocolate cake slices, flowers and romantic towel decorations, was both humorous and touching. Undoubtably the best thing about the Ayodya Palace is the staff and we would like to especially mention Noni and Cynthia… although there were many others. I know the caring staff members have been mentioned in other reviews. I really do like the Balinese and the staff here are wonderful examples of a generous people.

liked our stay.only concern was the cloudiness of the water in the main pool. could not see the tiles at the bottom of the pool.so we kept out of this pool.the pool in the palace area was clearer which we frequently used.
