Resort Overview

Located on a sandy beach on the northern tip of Zanzibar, this Nungwi Beach Resort by Turaco offers luxurious rooms with views of tropical garden, pool and the Indian ocean. The lush tropical gardens contain an outdoor pool and swim-up bar.
Each room is air-conditioned and equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The beds are surrounded by a mosquito net and the private bathrooms come stocked with free toiletries. Free Wi-Fi is provided.
Breakfast is served daily in the Ngalawa Restaurant which also offers lunch and dinner buffet or set menu style and live entertainment in the night time (seasonal). Guests are also welcome to visit Fisherman's Seafood Bar & Grill for a sundowners and sample international fusion cuisine.
Our wellness center offers relaxing treatment daily, check for exciting packages and for a more active day, fishing, snorkeling, buggy rides and scuba diving are available.
Nungwi Beach Resort by Turaco is only a 5-minute walk into the centre of the Nungwi Village.

The rooms were pleasant, the air conditioning worked well and the room card key actually worked every day of our stay which is a miracle because normally (in other hotels) you have to have them reprogrammed every second - day the housekeeping services were good. The pool area is pleasant, and the pool is well kept, but the music at the pool bar is intrusive. Have music by all means but turn the volume down.

I loved the Food and the serene environment. The staff were also very helpful especially ELIBARIK and SALUM..I say I big thank you. we shall be back.

The property was beautiful, a small resort that was very typically African and I loved all the details. Pool is heated, amazing, food is very good, not a lot of options but there were more than enough very good dishes in my opinion. Thank you for the best days!
