We were placed in their newly renovated room with a new mosquito net. The AC worked well, though it blows right to the head of the bed. So be careful there. But everything else was so good.

This is a lovely place to stay for a local feel, away from all the fancy resorts. Communication ahead of arrival was great, and we arranged an airport transfer as well as an onward transfer with them. We were greeted with a plate of fruit and breakfast was varied, with fresh fruit every morning. The staff is very attentive and friendly, Hakim speaks German and his colleague Ali was also really helpful. The internet was really fast and reliable for streaming or remote work, which was a nice plus. During the 5 days we stayed here, power cuts were minimal, compared to the Southern part of Zanzibar. Everything was clean! At the beginning, we were apprehensive about walking through the village after sunset, as it's hardly lit, but it was not an issue. Most locals greet you when walking past and we felt safe, but as a single female I would probably play it a bit safer.

Good breakfast and accommodated to our vegetarian diet, warm staff especially Gloria who took us to the beach and ensured everything was comfortable for us, great recommendations and support, cleanliness, proximity to the beach

For the price, it's veru good value. It's in the middle of the village so walking back at night can be just pitch black, though not dangerous. For a male traveller, its perfectly fine. Would not recommend for solo female traveller. The owner is very nice, he can help organise day trip or tour
