Great location to restaurants and close to Nozawa Onsen Karasawa lift. Staff were friendly and willing to help. The owner also will pick you up and drop you off for the bus to and from the train.

The hosts were incredibly lovely and accomodating. I was greeted and farewelled with a smile each day. I got lots of great recommendations for restaurants which were super helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious and had a great view of the mountain outside. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to the main gondola and easily accessible to another chairlift that took you to the mountain. I will definitely be booking again upon return to Nozawa.

STAY HERE! The owner is amazing and makes everything about your stay very convenient, ski tickets can be purchased at the reception for a good discount. The set up of the hotel is perfect, drying room is hot and the in house Onsen is great after skiing. I was worried about the futons but they were super comfortable. The Japanese style room was a great experience and the views from the room were stunning, the photos on booking don't do it justice. This was our favorite stay in Japan and we will definitely be back!!

Kadowaki-san was exceptionally friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate my requests. The facilities are well kept, with a private onsen bath in the basement and a ski storage area that includes a gear drying room. The room is very cozy, with a fantastic view from the alcove next to the window.

Unbelievably good stay, beautiful warm comfortable room that was fantastic value. Photos don’t do it justice as it really was amazing, with a beautiful view too. The best thing about the stay though was the owner, who was the nicest man, helped us out with absolutely everything. From ski passes, rental, restaurant recommendations and even a lift to and from the bus stop, he went above and beyond all our expectations. Couldn’t recommend staying here highly enough!

Very friendly and great place to stay for a few days skiing. Location is great, just a few minutes from the main area and right opposite one of the many slopes in the area. Lovely family run place, hosts are generous and gracious and will go the extra mile to help secure dinner reservations, taxi rides etc etc

Thank you so much for the perfect stay, and especially for dropping me at the station that morning! The owner is so lovely and everything was perfectly clean. I used the little onsen four times a day. It is walking distance to one of the smaller lifts. If you want a fancy new hotel, go stay somewhere else. I loved that it felt authentic and cosy. I hope to see you again!

A very pleasant stay. The staff was extraordinary nice, driving us both from and to the bus stop, and giving great advice. Everything is very thoughtful, from lending snow boots to complementary coffee.

We had the absolute best stay here in Nozawa. I had so many questions before our stay and they were always responded to quickly and kindly. The owner found out about a gym for my son, rang around different rental companies to find one with large size ski boots, organised cheap lift tickets, a taxi, picked us up from the bus stop. All of these things made our trip easy and made us feel well cared for. The recommendations for dinner in the local area were cheap and delicious. There is a supermarket nearby. The property is well located and we caught the free bus each morning to Nagasaka gondola and hired our skis there and stored them there free overnight. Other guests hired locally and walked to the lifts. Breakfast was delicious and huge - it even filled up my teenage boys. And the skiing was incredible. So much snow! It’s a 10 minute walk into the main part of town but we liked our location more as it felt more local. The host has thought of everything- snow boots, umbrellas, microwave, etc. We had a fabulous time and would always stay here if returning to Nozawa.

The staff were absolutely wonderful, the room was spacious, clean, warm and very relaxing. I was given a pick up and drop off service from the bus station and also shown where the best restaurants and onsen were around the town as well as discounted lift ticket. The location was very close to one of the ski lift (not the main gondola but still can access the mountain) and it is only a 10 min walk up the main street to the centre of town. Nozawa Onsen is a small town and easily walkable. There is a shuttle stop close to the accommodation but I didn't need to use it as it was so close to walk.
