I have stayed at the Star Inn several times and I like it because it is convenient for Beeston station and for transport into Nottingham, the staff are friendly and it is good value for money.

A warm welcome by staff and instructions for our stay were very good. We had a large room with king size bed and good facilities. We killed an hour before attending an event nearby, with a drink and a game of cards in the well stocked bar downstairs!

Clean, warm, welcoming room, ideal for the single traveller, although a nice big bed! Bathroom well appointed. (Don't know about the other rooms) And they even have a smart TV! Checking in was handled professionally and supportively, despite a bustling pub. Ideal location near the Beeston transport hub - buses and trams to Derby and Nottingham, and places in between. Railway station a 10 minute walk away.
