The staff, without exception, were attentive, friendly, hardworking and helpful. In particular the unsung 'back of house' staff who kept everywhere immaculately clean deserve special mention. Food - Breakfast was very good, cooked just as I like it and I was even provided with sourdough toast as I have a yeast intolerance (but can tolerate sourdough). Evening meal - though the menu was quite limited, it was of exceptional quality and presentation, so tasty. The chef is a keeper! Rooms - we stayed in room 5, a superior room, which was very spacious and clean with what appeared to be a recently refurbished large bathroom. All nicely decorated and furnished, with a very comfortable bed. We certainly didn't expect free live entertainment on Saturday. These occasional nights are obviously well supported by the local community - and quite rightly so. For a property in such a rural location to provide free live entertainment was a pleasant surprise, the band were very good though did not disturb those residents who wanted a quieter night. It's the little finishing touches that make a property stand out from the rest isn't it? And, despite the niggles I detail later, I would stay here again if in the vicinity because the good definitely outweigh them.

Dinner is served in the bar area and the menu is brilliant. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The amenities in the room were exceptional. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice.

The hotel is warm and welcoming. We were upgraded on arrival. Lovely room. We ate dinner in the restaurant. Menu was different but really good food. Busy night as there was a comedy night on. Beautifully clean and excellent value for money.. Breakfast choices perfect.

Food is really good, the best grilled halloumi i've ever had! The pizza and breakfast in the morning was also very good. The room was spacious with good facilities, the staff we're friendly and welcoming.
