Ryokan Overview

Boasting various hot spring baths, hot tubs and an indoor swimming pool, Daiichi Takimotokan is historic accommodation with Japanese-style guest rooms. Entertainment facilities like karaoke rooms and game centres are on site. Free WiFi is available at every guest room and the public area.
With a relaxing ambiance, each room is fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding. Guest rooms are located in 4 separate buildings on site based on room type. Facilities like flat-screen TV and fridge are provided. Guests can unwind in a yukata robe with a cup of tea and seating cushions.
The Takimotokan features relaxation rooms next to the large spa and swimming pool area, and rejuvenating treatments are on offer at the on-site massage salon. Free luggage storage services are provided.
The property is a 5-minute walk from Jigokudani hot springs, and a 12-minute drive from Lake Kuttara. There is a bus stop right in front of the property, which is a 15-minute bus ride from JR Noboribetsu Station.
Guests can enjoy a lavish buffet or traditional Japanese multi-course meals for dinner, depending on the room. Some plans let the guests savour the delicious course meals in the privacy of the guest room.

The onsen is something i wanna comment! There are at least 10 types of onsen, from normal ones to waterfall, outdoor, lying down ones etc. the best 2 i would say is outdoor one during winter and also the waterfall. The waterfall is like a massage session and the pressure is on point!! Super impressed with it. The onsen also provides HA, collagen gel etc for face, leave in conditioner for hair and basically its so well thought! Staff were also friendly and location is perfect!! Easy to travel to tourist spots via bus. Shopping and food street 3 min away! Rooms were clean, bed comfortable!

Location was accessible. Many options for baths available with large and spacious bathing facility for bath. Amenities like yukata, shampoo, body wash etc all well provided. The hotel ensures that guests are well taken care of.

My stay at Daiichi Takimotokan was pleasant. The property was clean and well-maintained, which added to the comfort. The highlight was the ample variety of onsen baths, each offering different healing methods—truly a unique and relaxing experience. While it wasn’t extraordinary in every aspect, it was a great place to unwind and enjoy Noboribetsu’s renowned hot springs.

Perhaps our favourite hotel in the world! Absolutely stunning views from the premier corner suite, and the private onsen was a dream come true. The staff were amazing- they even gave us a private tour of our room and the facilities. The grand baths were a once in a lifetime experience, and I have never felt more relaxed. The beds were comfortable and luxurious. As part of our package, we had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. I thoroughly recommend both, they were some of the best meals we had in Japan. You MUST stay here!!

Their service has been top-notched, all the amenities were there too. The onsen was great with many different choices, it also wasn't crowded when we went. they were also very tattoo friendly. The winter was view breathtaking and we get to easily walk to hell valley for the spectacular view and right outside the hotel, there is a small shopping street. After checkout we get to leave our luggage at the hotel so we get to experience Noboribetsu before heading off. Most importantly the breakfast and dinner buffet was amazing.

Out of the world onsens! Everything was thoughtfully done, and wonderfully relaxing. We went for half-board, and both breakfast and dinner were spectacular in terms of choice and amount of food. The hotel is like a mini-campus in itself, fully equipped with everything we needed, from shops to vending machines. All on all, a marvellous hotel experience!
