The hosts are both amazing!! Very friendly and eager to help us with everything we needed. We had not chosen to have diner there (bad decision because I believe it must have been amazing) and they suggested to make a reservation for us at an excellent restaurant nearby. The breakfast was served in a very cosy and homey feeling living room and it was a classical western style with eggs, bagels etc which was exceptional! I have nothing but wonderful words to say about this experience. Totally recommended! I would like to revisit and spend more time there. Thank you for everything

The property was in a great location for accessing the sights of Nikko.The owners were warm and welcoming.The food was great (especially the mashed potatoes!) and we made use of the outdoor onsen bath on the night of our stay and the following morning.

Very comfy beds, very nice onsen. Very good host's. Liz was very informative and even took us to the train station the morning we were leaving as the taxi's in the area can be unreliable in the morning. Liz also sent us a lot of information on the area and recommended tour itineraries

Lovely breakfast with bagels, cream cheese and jams. Fried eggs and sausages. Fresh fruit, juice and coffee. We felt so well taken care of by Liz and Sazuke. They are knowledgeable and gave us wonderful suggestions about what we could see in Nikko.

My partner and I went and stayed at the Gableview Forest Inn for our honeymoon and it was spectacular. The hosts were so welcoming, warm and accomodating. My partner who is coeliac was even catered to for his diatry requirments and was provided gluten-free breakfast and dinner. We don't have a single bad thing to say about our stay. The hosts even drove us to town each day and made recommendations of all the most exciting and beautiful things to do and see. Best holiday in the mountains ever!

The location was great - within walking distance of a few good restaurants. The hosts were amazing and super helpful, giving tips around the area and helping us with transportation.

We enjoyed the onsen. Breakfasts were good and their dinners were exceptional (and excellent valve). Liz & Satoshi were lovely hosts, helpful in every way.

The ambiance was amazing. Location was very good in the forest area but near Nikko. Elizabeth was an amazing and warm host who sees to all our needs even though it was not her duty to do so. We highly recommend to stay at her home.
