The location is very convenient, the accommodation is in walking distance from both railway stations and the bus terminal. Restaurants, convenience stores, and shops are also very close by. Yoshi-san and Rie-san are fantastic hosts, who go to great lengths to make your stay as comfortable as possible and keep the guest house impeccably clean. Yoshi-san was so kind and shared restaurant recommendations, information regarding attractions and even took us guests on a great hike to a waterfall. The room was very clean and warm even during winter, and the beds very comfortable. The shared facilities are also exceptionally clean, and amenities are provided. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped with anything you need, and the communal area is stocked with free drinks and snacks. Indeed, spending my evenings there and hanging out with other guests and Yoshi-san were the favourite parts of my stay. He's an excellent conversation partner and a very curious person, the hours flew by in an instant. At the end of my stay, he even took a few fantastic portrait photos for me to take home. Thanks again for everything, Yoshi-san!

We stayed in Nikko for two nights and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Yoshi was a very kind and considerate host, who very kindly gave us a lot of advice on where to eat and what to do. Our visit was very smooth and successful thanks to him. The house is beautiful and comfortable and located close to the train station. Officially they don't offer breakfast, but they do provide muesli and fruit, so you can easily make your own breakfast in the available kitchen. This is a private residence where the excess rooms are rented out to tourists, which means that it's also a good opportunity for a foreigner to see a real Japanese home, rather than a hotel. We felt very welcome.

Yoshi and his wife have a lovely place to stay. Wonderful amenities, comfort and situation. The room was super clean. Yoshi will help you in finding trails and visit Nikko. Sharing toilet and shower is not a problem, super clean and comfy.

Yoshi is thoughtful and knowledgeable. His recommendations with accompanying details were excellent. The house is like a comfortable home. Great base for hiking and sightseeing. The bikes are fabulous. Highly recommended.

The host was amazing. Helped with every question. There was a a good kitchen you could use and a generous free choice of tea coffee and Some breafast items Very clean. Felt like visiting family. That was Nice for a solo traveler.

Lovely and homely old style building with wooden features, very close to the train station and has comfy beds on tatami mats. Most importantly the hosts are so friendly and welcoming!!

It felt like being invited in to a home but with your own independence. Room was simple, comfortable. Some fruit and snacks were available. My experience was heightened by the assistance of the host, Yoshi, with his suggestions of activities and his inside knowledge of Nikko.

Exceptional service. Yoshi picked up our bags from the train station, gave us comprehensive information about the area, booked restaurants and even brought us umbrellas to a restaurant one evening when the walk home was unexpectedly wet. He and his lovely wife provided, and replenished supplies of fruit, cereals, snacks and coffee pods - nothing was too much trouble. Rooms and living areas are very clean and spacious. Well located in a quiet street near to train station, restaurants and a great supermarket.
