\Our host suprised us with a care package for breakfast each morning - a pastry, bottle of water and a banana - so thoughtful!

The hosts are friendly and go out of their way to help and to make sure you are having a pleasant stay. They got us umbrellas on a rainy day, a map of the historic trails around town and the most amazing breakfast. We spent 3 nights and chose Japanese breakfast for all days; you can also choose western breakfast if you wish so. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the sunroom is ideal for a restful time with tea. There are two onsens on the property and we enjoyed soaking after a long day hike. The location is perfect, not too close to the touristic town and next to the bus stop (14), it is so easy to catch the bus to the city and to the mountain and lake too. We had a perfect stay.

They were very kind, ready to help and welcoming! All was clean and close by bus to attractions ! I asked for the vegan dinner and it was awesome !!

Very nice stay at Mori no uta. The guests are incredibly friendly, they have helped me with a small wound I made, prepared the (very tasty) breakfast early for me, taken me to the train station. The baths were very good, the room quiet, clean and wide.

We booked breakfast and evening meal for 2 days. Both were excellent. Yoshi, made us such a wonderful meal on both nights. The food would not be out of place in a top class restaurant. The location was a very short bus ride from Nikko station. We had exclusive use of the onsen bath which was so relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. We would love to return to this peaceful hotel.
