Breakfast was delicious - the host, Izumi, provided a Japanese or American option. The view from the balcony was stunning, and the room was spotless. Izumi was a delight to be around and was helpful with recommendations for Nikkō. We would come to Nikko again just to stay at B&B Izumi. By far the best accommodation we have ever stayed in.

Izumi was a perfect host. He picked us up from the station before we were due to check in so we could leave our luggage, then drove us back into Nikko. At the end of our stay he took us back to the station.

It was a beautiful B&B just a little up the mountain. A very calm and nice Japanese style room with a little balcony overlooking the forest behind the B&B with a mountain stream. The owner Izumi-san offered to pick us up from the train station, and we gladly took him up on it. Izumi-san gave us a map and several tips on what to do and with what weather that would be best. Very kind and thoughtful of our interests and also offered us to bring us back to the train on the final day. You can quite easily get there and around by bus, it is a small walk from the B&B to the bus stop. Every morning Izumi-san cooked us a Japanese style breakfast, always a bit different and very tasty. From the entire vacation, me and my friend found that staying at this B&B was the best out of all the accommodations we been to during this vacation in Japan. Nikko itself we found we could do and see plenty in a few days. However, we most definitely will return here in a different season!

Outstanding stay. Izumi-san provided an excellent service. His communication prior to our arrival was excellent and he made us feel so welcome, picking us up early from the station, taking our bags so that we could maximise our time in Nikko. He made dinner reservations, drove and collected us from the restaurants each evening! Izumi-san really is the perfect host. Our room was spotlessly clean, all the amenities that you would get in a 5 star hotel, the deck on the back overlooking the stream and forest is idyllic and both the American and Japanese breakfasts Izumi-san serves were superb.

The location was prime reason we chose this location. It was perfect for touring Nikko area and away from the town and people. We also enjoyed staying in a Japanese home.

Set in a beautiful location. Host Izumi was fantastic, he picked us up from the station, recommended the best times to leave to see the sights and dropped us off to the bus stops. Beautiful breakfast. Room was so clean and comfortable. I had the best night sleep. Good to say this was our best hotel we stayed in our 3 week stay in Japan! Thank you Izumi!

Izumi was a fantastic host . He me us at the station on arrival and took us to our lovely accommodation attached to his house and overlooking a stream . His breakfast was exceptional and he gave us perfect advice re where to eat , when to go to the temples and see the autumn foliage and ferries us to our restaurants and Onsen . He even tracked down for us a rucksack that had been left in a cafe and contacted the owners to say we were coming back for it . He was the perfect host and the accommodation was spacious and spotless and away from the noise and traffic of Nikko central . A perfect antidote to the bustle of Tokyo
