Hostel Overview

Situated in the heart of Newcastle city centre, Albatross Hostel offers free Wi-Fi in public areas, a free house safe and a laundry service. As there is no curfew for access to the property, guests are free to come and go at any time of the day. Newcastle Central Metro station is just a 5-minute walk from the property.
Each room at Albatross Hostel comes with access to shared bathroom, a fully equipped self-catering kitchen and independent room heating. Lockers are provided in each room. Towels are not provided but are available to hire.
A pool table is available to use free of charge, and guests also benefit from free toast, tea and coffee. Guests can relax in the shared TV lounge and make use of a computer.
Bars, clubs and restaurants can be found within a 2-minute walk of the hostel. The Haymarket area of Newcastle is 10 minutes away on foot and includes a selection of venues hosting live bands. Newcastle Airport can be reached in less than 20 minutes by taxi.

The location is walking distance to everything.The staff were accommodating and friendly. The rooms,kitchen and lounge were spacious and quiet.

Lovely welcome and environment for a nights stay in a very convenient location. Comfortable temperature throughout, good kitchen facilities, comfortable seating area with different styles of seating plus free pool table and drinks area. Good showers which are in cubicles and comfortable bed with bedding. Clean throughout.

loved the location room was clean bedding clean and comfortable bed I precooked a bottom bunk as I had a shoulder injury the bed had a reserved notice on for me.. nice outside area for smoking.

Stayed with 1 friend in the female dorm and I felt safe. Great location, very friendly and kind staff, great location, great value for money. It is really really spacious everywhere, and the kitchen is good and clean with free tea and coffee. Everything basically works. I would recommend it if you are looking for a safe, no-frills, clean and cheap hostel!
