Ideal location for a night out in Newcastle u Lyme. We like staying in the annex rooms. Reception staff are good.

Breakfast was outstanding, really can't fault the food. Room was functional and warm with a great shower, which was a bonus.

We were staying there for one night between days at Alton Towers. The quick check in and out suited us. The main room which was also the bedroom in the Annex we stayed in was clean and comfortable.

The room was nice and clean and on the ground floor which was good has my wife is on a stick, the following morning we had breakfast and it was hot and plentiful for us, the one thing that we had a problem with was the bed was well used and you end up rolling together in the middle, so i think it needs replacing.

I had a single/small double room in the annexe. It was clean, warm and comfortable. My only comment would be that I would have liked a handrail to hold to step in to the bath, but other than that everything was very comfortable. The breakfast was well cooked and presented with a good choice. All staff I met during my stay, which I extended another night, were friendly and extremely helpful. I will stay there again when I next visit family nearby as I felt it was good value and comfortable.

Large bed in clean room with en-suite. Breakfast extra but good value. Helpful staff. Fault with light over bed fixed immediately were made aware.
