Breakfast was poor. There was a tempting breakfast in the room but when we asked for the eggs Benedict the breakfast lady said that she’d check if the menu was available and would get back to us. She didn’t. In the end we had the help yourself option for £15. Breakfast was busy and noisy and understaffed. There was no waiter visible. Lots of jam but no toast. We didn’t enjoy the experience.

The location is stunning and around a 10 minute taxi ride from the race course. The rooms in the summer house were lovely and you can see the lake from there. Room 6 is the best.

A comfortable nights stay in stunning grounds. The bed were comfortable, rooms cosy and clean and the surroundings peaceful - the noisiest we got was gaggles of geese! It was a little confusing to begin with where we should go as there was no clear sign as to which of the numerous buildings had the main reception (in the main castle like building) but we were then provided with a map and clear instructions where to park and find number 11. The views were wonderful and we were lucky that spring flowers, birds, squirrels were in full force. And the weather made it more glorious. We enjoyed bar food and drinks in the evening and a delicious well served breakfast the following morning, staff were polite efficient and friendly,

Nice friendly atmosphere in a great location. Parking in the grounds. Food was really nice but felt the breakfast was slightly not as good as evening meal. Staff were good and friendly, helpful supplying fans to guests on a very hot night.

Incredible setting with wonderful staff, our room was by the water with beautiful views, large comfy bed, clean and had a shower room. Also loves the walk to the castle ruin and facilities at the bar and restaurant were great.

We stayed in the Pavilion lodge. Really lovely - comfortable bed, big kitchen and lovely private terrace onto a garden. Parking right outside. Very quiet and tranquil, excellent wifi. We had dinner in the bar at the hotel as well and that was good and reasonably priced. The hotel itself is very pretty and is well located.

Very comfortable large bedroom in Lakeview complex. Historic country house set in beautiful grounds. Plenty of parking. Good wifi. Recommended.
