The rooms at the Beacon hotel are very large, especially for New York. The beds are very comfortable with the room furniture at the higher end. The location is excellent on the west side and the absolute bonus, is that every staff member we came into contact with was a pleasure to deal with. I will be back, thank you Beacon.

We stayed in the Beacon during a very cold spell in January and so we really appreciated the warm rooms and the convenience of having a small kitchenette. Our twin bedded suite on the 12th floor was extremely comfortable, roomy and spotlessly clean. Crisp linens, comfortable beds and pillows, plenty of storage space. Brightly lit bathroom with tub and shower and nice toiletries. By NY standards, the room was huge! The kitchenette, with its two burner hob, fridge, microwave, tea kettle, coffee maker, toaster and sufficient pots, cutlery, utensils and crockery was a big plus. The hotel provides starter packs of tea/coffee/creamer (and washing up liquid/sponge/tea towel) and there's a Fairway Grocery store and Beacon Wines just a few steps away. Great location for anyone looking to escape the bustle of Times Square and close to museums and galleries as well as a great selection of neighbourhood bars and restaurants (Parla especially good for pizza etc). Very good transport links to all points in Manhattan. The team on the front desk were welcoming and helpful and we appreciated the daily housekeeping service.

Great location, close to the subway. Quiet despite being a central location. Fairly spacious room with small kitchenette. Nice view. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very comfortable, loved having kitchenette with coffee pod machine, kettle. Staff were very helpful £ there’s a Diner right next door where you can eat a decent breakfast.

Having a kitchenette in the room is so useful in NYC where even a small breakfast is very expensive. Ask for a quite room and it will be on a side street with very little noise. Staff is exceptionally friendly. Subway is 3 minute walk away. Good supermarket opposite the hotel if you want to stay in.
