Great option for cheap accommodation in the city center. It is loud from the bar below on weekends, but the hostel made this clear on booking so we expected that and brought earplugs.

They are upfront with how the accomodation is equipped, that it is quiet a bit older. Also, they informed me in a seperate mail, that it can be louder from thu-sat due to restaurants nearby. Being very upfront and i like that. Everyone was friendly and helpful, thanks for creating that vibe!

The staff were super friendly and the hostel was in a great location. The room we stayed in was very spacious. They also had a kitchen which we didn’t use but looked to have great amenities. It was also really noisy on the Saturday night because of a Karaoke bar next door but the hostel sent out emails in advance which was great. We had earplugs because of their for-warning and we were able to sleep through the singing. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness in letting us know in advance.

Helpful and friendly staff. Our room had all we needed for our short stay and at a good price. Beds were comfy, had our own private bathroom. Central location, we enjoyed being able to walk around and explore the town and the bus stops are right outside if needed. No allocated parking, but heaps of free parking after 5pm till the morning. The bar below gets loud at night but we loved it and would open our window to sing along or just listen. So bring earplugs if you don’t like noise lol

Value for money. Not a fancy place (of course) but everything is functional and cozy. Staff is friendly. The lady at reception was so efficient and knew what I wanted before I even asked the question. 10/10 for location! It's walking distance to everything you want to do in New Plymouth, Wind Wand, museum, gallery, coastal walkway, cafés, restaurants.

Everything was great and transparent from the start. The hostel is above a karaoke bar, so bring your earplugs or singing voice. I opted for the first option and still managed to get my sleep. Really good priced laundry service with space to hang outside. Nice outdoor 'chill' areas too. The kitchen can get pretty hot when cooking but it is summer, so it's to be expected. Had a nice stay with helpful friendly staff.
