Single room was lovely, very clean, comfortable & decorated beautifully. Lovely breakfast provided each morning & waking up to the smell of fresh baked bread was very pleasant.

Brad and Fujiko were terrific hosts, and 16 Havelock was a lovely home away from home while visiting family in New Plymouth. Breakfast was delicious, with Brad baking fresh bread and cooking eggs from their backyard chickens each morning. It was also a nice time to meet the various other guests. I stayed in a single room, which was perfect for a solo traveller. A highlight was the spectacular views of Mt Taranaki and the ocean from the lounge room and deck.

Perfectly located with glorious views to Mt Taranaki. Short trip into town, close to beaches and walks. We couldn’t have asked for more at the end of our North Island trip. Brad was an excellent host with a down to earth, live and let live nature. We totally enjoyed our stay and were kind of sad to leave in the end!!

Bread! Brad’s bread in the morning accompanied with fresh eggs from happy chickens running behind the window was just divine!!!! Amazing host! Highly recommended!!!!

10/10 definitely recommend staying with Brad & his wife they are amazing! They offer complimentary breakfast & the eggs are amazing!! You get given the time you would like your breakfast & they are so helpful & love to get to know you!! Definitely would recommend a wonderful place to stay!

Very friendly and helpful owners. Excellent breakfasts. Reasonable location not far from New Plymouth and a nice property surrounded by pleasant garden. A very good deck for sitting, reading, eating an evening meal.

Great location a few minutes drive outside the main bit of the town. Amazing view of Mt Taranaki from the balcony. Brad was a fantastic host, lovely eggs cooked for us every morning straight from his own chickens!

Overall the place was very clean. Breakfast provided was fresh and tasty with homemade bread and eggs from their chickens. The owner Brad was very friendly and shared travel tips and history of some of the sights in New Plymouth. Bed came with an electric blanket which made it very comfortable.
