Hotel Overview

With stunning views of the surrounding fells, The award-winning Strands Inn, Screes Inn & Strands Brewery all sit in the heart of Wasdale Valley. All rooms are en suite and traditional Cumbrian food is offered, along with cask ales brewed on the premises.

The Strands and Screes Inn are perfectly positioned to explore the natural beauty of the Lake District National Parl. The deepest lake (Wastwater) and the mountain of Scafell Pike are both within walking distance.

“Great place, great beer, really comfy bed, nice staff. But get the broken window glass repaired”

The location was excellent. The bed was really, really comfortable. The ale and beer from the brewery on site was really good. The breakfast was good. The staff were very polite and talkative.

Friendly staff, easy to access, free parking in front of the property, beautifull spot in the Lake district. Wasdale area is a good base to climb the scafell pike. All utensils worked fine and the bonus is the pub/restaurant downstairs where we could eat and drink.

Great staff, great location, fantastic food! Both breakfast and dinner (including the Sunday roasts) were some of the best food I've had in hotels. Ample parking.
