This is a beautiful old house, lovingly restored and situated on the most peaceful and beautiful property in Mbombela. The Breakfast is fantastic, substantial, with a large variety of homemade jams, marmalades and curds and a choice of hot breakfast. The three course dinner cooked by Stanford and his team is absolutely delicious and of excellent quality. The rooms are beautifully furnished, big and the beds are very comfortable. Rooms 1-4 have garden access, which is wonderful and the garden is beautiful. Andrew, Kim, Lucy and the cat, were excellent hosts. I love Torburnlea and will return with my family in July.

Absolutely everything. The first place I've ever visited, where I can not fault anything. Beautiful historic building, tastefully renovated. Gorgeous gardens and trees. All needed amenities. Great staff. Delicious breakfast. Will definitely visit again.

Their photos and website are a true reflection of the property. They are now licensed. We had a great dinner that must be booked in advance and is not available on some nights, so check first.

The guesthouse is so special! Enjoyed the history and the antiques so much. A big thankyou to your staff. The food was devine. Menu was perfect, diverse and unique in flavor. We felt so welcome and will surely visit again.
